Watering
This palm should be watered regularly, and during sunny periods we recommend watering every day. In less sunny periods we recommend watering once every 3 days, unless it has rained. The pot must have holes because this palm loves drought.
Placement
This palm should be placed where the sun shines a lot. The more sun, the faster the growth, but also the more moisture it needs.
Nutrition
Nutrition is very important for plants. We recommend to provide this palm with a good nutrient medium through the use of high quality Mediterranean soil. We also recommend adding extra nutrients through watering, by mixing a cap of Palm Focus with 5 liters of water. This will ensure the supply of all necessary nutrients, so the plant will keep its dark green leaf colour.
Cutting
Pruning a palm is simple. When a leaf starts to get dry, the fairly thick branch of it should be cut off near the trunk with, for example, a pruning shear. Every year the palm has new shoots that grow into large fan leaves.

This deviation is 10cm maximum. In our guidelines we keep a margin of max. 10cm regarding the minimum size.
Note: when you order a plant that doesn't stay green in the winter, it's probably (when ordered during the winter months or the beginning spring season) smaller than the minimum size. This is not a problem in any case, because the plant will grow new branches or leaves and the minimum height will be reached within a short period. Your order will have the right size within a short time.
