Note, important!
We always recommend to immediately repot a purchased plant into a larger sized pot, because the pots sold are usually completely rooted. It allows the plant to root more, grow more and it's better for keeping the soil moist.
Most often the plant is around the minimum size. The height of the plant is always incl. pot height. Its actual height depends on the various sources of supply and how long the plant has been staying and growing in our stock environment.
All interesting and necessary information about the Aloevera mitriformis is found in our encyclopedia

Frequently asked questions, FAQ
Is the Aloevera hardy?
The Aloevera loves warmth, and therefore cannot tolerate temperatures below -2 degrees Celsius, so we recommend bringing this plant inside when it is freezing.
How to take care of an Aloevera?
An Aloevera loves a warm place with lots of sunlight, a good breeding ground and also supplementary feeding. A good breeding ground can be provided by means of Florentus Mediterranean Nutrition. This ensures good rooting and provision of the right nutrient base. We also recommend supplementary feeding with 'Ultra Focus', this is high quality Mediterranean plant nutrition that provides extra strength and health. This allows the plant to retain its beautiful deep colours.
When watering the Aloevera?
The Aloevera needs water on a regular basis, but not a lot, because it grows slowly. During the hot days of summer, it needs water every day. If it is a bit colder, it can be once every 2-4 days, depending on the temperature and the pot and the size of the plant. You can feel this from the soil. If the soil is fairly moist, the Aloevera still has enough water.
What kind of land does the Aloevera want?
An Aloevera loves good nutrient soil. For example, you can spoil the root ball with a bag of Florentus Mediterranean Nutrition Soil, specially developed for Mediterranean plants such as the Aloevera, which allows it to root extra well and provides it with the right nutrient base.
When the Aloevera move in?
We recommend bringing the Aloevera inside when it starts to freeze.
Why are the leaves dying off of the Aloevera?
It is possible that the Aloevera gets too little water during the growing season, or too much during less hot days. It can also be caused by hypothermia.
Is the Aloevera toxic to cats / dogs?
The Aloevera contains a gels substance that can be lubricated on the skin without adverse effects, but which should not be taken orally. Taking Aloe Vera is indeed toxic, so it is not recommended to plant an Aloe vera where many animals come.
Where to buy an Aloevera?
We have a very simple answer to this question. Teeninga Palmen is a specialist in the field of Mediterranean plants and trees, and offers them for the lowest price and the highest quality, so the choice is easy!

Our plant sizes are determined by measuring the smallest plants up until the largest in a field with hundreds of plants. Because a plant is a natural product, it's possible a plant is a little smaller than the mentioned minimum size.
This deviation is 10cm maximum. In our guidelines we keep a margin of max. 10cm regarding the minimum size.
Note: when you order a plant that doesn't stay green in the winter, it's probably (when ordered during the winter months or the beginning spring season) smaller than the minimum size. This is not a problem in any case, because the plant will grow new branches or leaves and the minimum height will be reached within a short period. Your order will have the right size within a short time.
Special transport is required for larger/heavier plants or objects. This transport costs 29,95 (free for orders above 300). The benefit of this transport is that more products can be selected without getting additional transport costs. The delivery time of this transport type usually is within 1 workday. Howiever, it can take 1 or more days in some cases. If you're not at home when the driver arrives, the order will be placed in front of your door.
