A plant with a nice pot enhances the atmosphere much more and becomes more beautiful than without one. Of course the pot should match the plant and location. The recommended diameter of a pot for this Albizia julibrissin is 23 - 30 cm. This is not only an eye-pleasing proportion, but also makes caring for the plant more easy.

The Albizia julibrissin is hardy, but it does lose its leaves in the winter. Then it becomes a bare branch mess. However, the leaves just grow back again in the spring.
.The Albizia julibrissin, also known as the Persian sleeping tree can grow 6-10 feet tall when not pruned. You can keep this tree in nice shape and height by pruning it regularly.
In addition to its unusual leaves that close at night, the Albizia gets beautiful dainty panicle flowers from June through fall.
These trees can get very old, which cannot be determined as a number of years. But they get older than you and I.
The albizia doesn't mind being pruned. It is not like a palm tree where the lower leaves become dry and need to be pruned off, but in winter when the tree is outside it does lose its leaves. So if you want to prune the branches you can just do that.
The Albizia actually needs good water every day in the heat of summer. The root ball should not dry out. But during less hot days, it is best to wait a while. If the root ball is still slightly moist to the touch it's fine.
A dormant tree likes good nutrient soil. For example, you can pamper the root ball with a bag of Florentus Mediterranean Nutrient Soil, specially developed for Mediterranean plants such as the Persian dormitory tree.
It may be that the dormant tree is not getting enough water during the growing season, or too much water e.g. in autumn, but it is also a natural thing that leaves become dry. Some leaves have simply reached their age and then die off. The leaves can be removed with scissors, or by hand.
The Persian sleeping tree is not poisonous, so it can be placed perfectly well in an environment with cats or dogs.
Our plant sizes are determined by measuring the smallest plants up until the largest in a field with hundreds of plants. Because a plant is a natural product, it's possible a plant is a little smaller than the mentioned minimum size.
This deviation is 10cm maximum. In our guidelines we keep a margin of max. 10cm regarding the minimum size.
Note: when you order a plant that doesn't stay green in the winter, it's probably (when ordered during the winter months or the beginning spring season) smaller than the minimum size. This is not a problem in any case, because the plant will grow new branches or leaves and the minimum height will be reached within a short period. Your order will have the right size within a short time.
